SnapDish COMMUNITY GUIDELINE
'Making cooking more fun and delicious'
SnapDish was started with a wish to enable people from all over the world to enjoy interacting with other people through photos of dishes and to help make cooking more delicious for those who enjoy cooking.
Since the start of SnapDish, many people from many countries and different cultures have posted numerous dishes. They have shared their everyday delicious experiences and have brought among us many delicious smiles.
We are very happy if using SnapDish has provided the opportunity for people to discover new dishes and has changed people's lives in a way that the everyday casual cooking and dining activity has become a pastime that people look forward to.
SnapDish is a food community where many people from around the world gather to post photos of dishes, recipes and comments to enjoy interacting with one another.
The intent of this guideline is to make your use of SnapDish and the SnapDish community enjoyable and pleasant. This guideline will be updated as we gather and review user's opinions and suggestions. Your use of SnapDish means that you understand and accept these rules in the guideline and Terms of Service.
- Posting Photos
SnapDish is a service where you post photos of dishes that you have cooked, eaten or encountered (food for humans, what we call "dishes" or "food" in this guideline) and enjoy along with other users from all over the world. This is why we ask you not to post the following kind of photos:
- Photos that don't present any food or dishes
- Photos that are hard to determine what kind of dish is presented
- The main object presented in the photos isn't food
- Photos of food that is not edible in the presented state (This however excludes any food that can be regularly found on the household table)
- Photos that don't have the owner's permission to be posted
To make it clear to people from all over the world that the photo presented is actual food, please be careful NOT to post photos in the following manner:
e.g. The main object presented is a group of people, photos that only show the package and not what is inside (if you are from a different country it may be hard to tell whether the package shown is of food or not) live animals such as fish swimming or cattle at a farm, food for animals, food that is not adequately prepared and not edible in the state shown in the photo, the exterior view of a restaurant, photos only showing the written menu of a restaurant.
- Posting Comments
At SnapDish, many people enjoy posting comments and interacting with other users everyday. People post their stories, thoughts and reactions when making comments to photos, which lets you better understand and appreciate dish photos.
Comments are where many people interact. To make safe and pleasant communication with one another please do not post the following kind of comments.
- Comments that have no relation to the photo
- Comments that may harm or be unpleasant to others
